The Survey for the Couch Potato

7 09 2010

In a couple of weeks, I’d be very occupied — with all-new episodes of the TV series I follow. To celebrate this, I’m answering a short survey with a nice twist about TV shows.

Pick your five favorite TV shows (in no particular order) and answer the following questions. Don’t cheat!

1) Desperate Housewives

2) Grey’s Anatomy

3) Modern Family

4) Nurse Jackie

5) The Office

*My list is alphabetically-arranged.

Who’s your favorite character in 2? –> Meredith Grey

Who’s your least favorite character in 1? –> Susan Mayer

What’s your favorite episode of 4? –> “Monkey Bits” from Season 2

What’s your favorite season of 5? –> Season 4. My favorite episodes include “Money,” “Local Ad,” “The Deposition,” “Dinner Party,” “Did I Stutter?,” and “Goodbye, Toby.” Ryan-Kelly break-up! Holly! A lot of great things happened in this season.

What’s you favorite ship in 3? –> Phil-Gloria. Hahahaha! 😀

Who is your anti-ship in 2? –> Cristina-Owen. Or anything with Owen, really.

How long have you watched 1? –> Since it began in 2004

How did you become interested in 3? –> Critical acclaim even before the pilot episode aired

Who’s your favorite actor in 4? –> Edie Falco. She’s really amazing.

Which show do you prefer: 1, 2, or 5? –> Grey’s Anatomy

Which show have you seen more episodes of: 1 or 3? –> Desperate Housewives. (Modern Family has only had one season so far.)

If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be? –> Zoey Barkow, the eager beaver

How would you kill off your favorite character in 1? –> A well-organized suicide for Bree Van De Kamp, perhaps.

Give a random quote from 1. –> “We all have moments of desperation. But if we can face them head on, that’s when we find out just how strong we really are.” –Mary Alice Young, “Pilot”

Would a 3/4 crossover work? –> At first glance, no. But, if there’s some hilarious way that Phil Dunphy  (Modern Family) and Zoey Barkow (Nurse Jackie) are relatives, that would be very fitting. Hehe!

Pair two characters in 1 that would make an unlikely, but strangely okay couple. –> Paul Young and Edie Britt. Their momentary kiss during the first season screamed great chemistry and sexual tension. Too bad, Britt’s dead.

Has 5 inspired you in any way? –> Yes, somehow. The writing of the Dunder Mifflin commercial in the “Local Ad” episode in Season 5 was brilliant.

Overall, which show has a better cast: 3 or 5? –> Modern Family. Hands down. Best cast I’ve seen in recent years. All well-defined characters and all the actors deliver.

Which has better theme music, 2 or 4? –> Grey’s Anatomy‘s Cosy In The Rocket
